Eastdil Secured, brokerage firm, marketing the property indicated that the price will be largely influenced by the multi-million dollar makeover of the property. The renovation that resulted in shutting of the property for several months included addition of a new lobby, restaurant and spa, renovation of the guest rooms and also extensive landscaping.

The property is one of the finest ocean view property resorts in San Diego and due to low coastal property listing in the Southern California buyers are expected to show more interest. According to the brokers, real estate in the coastal regions are in high demand as properties like Del Mar L'Auberge Hotel do not go for sale often, opportunity for investing will not be missed by prospective buyers. Last time the property changed ownership was in 1994 when it was sold for $12 million.
