Filmmaker Ron Howard Lists Connecticut Compound for $27.5 Million

Ron Howard, the award-winning actor and producer, has just listed the 17,200 square feet Connecticut compound that he and his wife Cheryl have shared for years. The 32-acre property sits in Conyers Farm, an hour's drive from New York City and just outside of Greenwich, Connecticut and is on the market for an asking price of $27.5 million.

The listing comes after two decades of ownership by the Howard family. Ron has said that he and his wife relocated to the quiet residential paradise from the busy movie hub of Los Angeles in order to raise their children. Now that the kids have all grown, Ron and Cheryl have decided it's time to move on from the sprawling country estate.

Comprised of five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and four half-baths, the New England property offers prospective buyers no shortage of amenities. In-home features include a two-story office and library, private theater, personal gym and yoga studio, and indoor saltwater pool. Outside, there are private parks, hiking and riding trails, a large lake, barns and an observatory.

The two-story entryway welcomes guests to the home with an open foyer with access to the second story from the beautiful winding staircase to the left.

The property features no shortage of scenic views - enjoy beautifully vistas of the large private lake from all throughout the home.

The home's open design means plenty of room for cooking, eating, and lounging around. The kitchen is perfect for anything from a small meal to a large feast, offering a double-oven, plenty of countertop areas and a bonus island for even more space.

One of the best places to enjoy the beauty of the home's surroundings may be from the relaxation tub in the master bathroom.

Plenty of movie fans from all around the world would love to sit down and watch a film in Ron Howard's private theater and screening room.

There are six fireplaces located throughout the Connecticut estate, so you should have little trouble staying warm during the snow-covered winter months.

On top of the private gym and yoga studio, the home also offers a full-sized indoor tennis court for year-round exercise.

You can also enjoy this indoor saltwater pool all year long, regardless of the temperature outside.

Outside, there are acres upon acres of beautiful Connecticut land for private enjoyment. Thirty-two to be exact. There are hiking and horse-riding trails, a livestock barn, and lush woods for exploring.
