Feb 2012 Real Estate Stats for San Diego County

As interest rates continue to stay at historically low levels, just below 3.9%, the number of homes for sale in San Diego County dips to it's lowest level since February 2010. Out of all the active homes for sale, 22% are short sales and less than 8% are foreclosures, meaning that more than 70% of homes for sale are traditional sellers.

This is great news for anyone thinking of selling their San Diego home since real estate sales remain very strong. Of the 1984 sales that took place in January 2012, only 48% were short sales or foreclosures and 52% were traditional sellers.
