The Pacific Beach subdivision includes the main business district, which means that the numerous restaurants and bars making it a shopping destination. The beachfront part of this neighborhood includes the Boardwalk and scenic Bay views. Housing options include large condominium complexes or beach cottages.

Things To Do In Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach offers a plethora of fun activities to keep people young at heart. Starting with the beaches, North Pacific Beach offers a quieter stretch of beach for swimming with supervised lifeguards, while Tourmaline Surfing Park is a surfers only park, ideal for beginners and experts alike. But for those that want to party, the entertainment with sand volleyball and crowds occurs at the main Pacific Beach.

The Boardwalk provides even more fun with the wooden roller coaster, the Giant Dipper, at Belmont Amusement Park. In addition, the Boardwalk features numerous nightlife options, including Pacific Beach Bar & Grill, offering $2 wine specials on Fridays.

As the area is a college town, several universities are centrally located, including the University of California, the University of San Diego, and San Diego State University.
