Bordered by Interstate 8 and Interstate 15, the community is only a short distance away from the downtown area. The cities of La Mesa and El Cajon also lie to the east of the College Grove area.
College Grove Activities and Things to Do
College Grove offers its fair share of shopping and entertainment establishments. El Cajon Boulevard serves as the area's commercial district, offering a wide variety of chain restaurants, department and discount stores and other major retail outlets. Marketplace at the Grove is a relatively recent development that offers many nationally known retail outlets.
Chollas Lake Park features plenty of recreational activities that residents and visitors will enjoy. The area also features a number of other interesting sites to see, including the Colina Park Golf Course, Del Cerro Park and Rolando Park. Special events are also held regularly on the campus of San Diego State University. Residents and visitors can also travel to the downtown area for expanded food and entertainment options.
Home to more than 18,000 people, College Grove offers an extraordinary variety of houses for sale. The area is heavily inundated with single-family homes, townhouses and condominiums, many of them for sale at reasonable prices. Many students from nearby San Diego State University choose to purchase or rent a home or condominium in the area.
