Located just 17 miles east of San Diego, Spring Valley represents San Diego County's largest unincorporated community, with a population of over 28,000 residents. Portions of the community also spread into Casa de Oro and La Presa. The relatively quiet and family-oriented community is well known for its unique rolling hills and stunning combination of urban and rural landscapes, offering residents the best of both worlds. The community earned its namesake thanks in large part to the natural spring located in the area. Once inhabited by the Kumeyaay, the area was known as San Jorge until the area was renamed by Rufus King Porter in 1866.
Spring Valley features a variety of modestly sized single-family homes for sale, from the ubiquitous rancher-style home to two-story neo-eclectic homes prominently featured in recent suburban home developments. Many of the homes located in Spring Valley are surprisingly affordable to own, making this community an excellent location for first-time homebuyers as well as those looking for an affordable place to start a family. The community also features larger properties in the rural areas, perfect for raising and tending to horses and livestock. Any interested buyer looking to enjoy the benefits of rural living intermixed with urban conveniences will look forward to purchasing real estate in this area.
