Following the lighting of the Holiday Tree, Santa Claus will arrive at Fletcher Cove Park alongside a fire-truck escort and will be staying for visits and pictures with the children in attendance. In addition to Santa Claus' stop at the park, the Holiday Tree Lighting will feature:

  • An ensemble by the All Star Dance Studio's Nutcracker Youth Dancers
  • Piano music from Robert Parker, the award-winning performer
  • Holiday sweets and warm drinks including cider and coffee

Fletcher's Cove Park is one of the premier public family areas in Solana Beach, located at 111 South Sierra Avenue across from the corner of South Sierra and Plaza Street. Situated right on the beach, the park was renovated recently to include a grassy area, children's playground, an ocean overlook deck and mosaic art displayed throughout the property.

Both parking and admission to the Holiday Tree Lighting is free. The event is put on by the Solana Beach Parks and Recreation Department and more information can be found at The Parks and Recreation Department can also be reached at (858)720-2453.
